Just one foot in front of the other, you’ve got this!
When my son was born I was afraid to go out alone with him… I was afraid of all the things that might happen and wondered how I would handle them, would I cope…
What if he started crying or needed a change or a feed and I don’t have anywhere to take care of his needs
The anxiety was overwhelming.
A lot of things can be scary the very first time because you’re stepping into new territory… it can bring up all your anxieties and insecurities and what ifs…
But once you take that first step and you do the thing you were afraid of you feel a sense of accomplishment, I can do this.
And each time you do it again and again it gets easier and easier.
Sometimes you might have a fumble, fall or hiccup, a challenge… and you build resilience, you get through it, you remind yourself I got through this, I survived and you get stronger.
When a baby starts learning to walk, they fall over again and again and they get back up again and again.
It’s not how many times you fall but how many times you get back up and what you learn from each fall… thats what really counts.
You’ve got this.
You’re stronger than you know 🥰
